How things grow...

Hi ladies. I’ve been away for a while. Sorry ‘bout that, but I’ve been growing. And growth hurts. Really. Think about it. Each tooth you grew there was a gum and tooth ache. You grew inches taller and there was growing fever and vomiting. However, in order to enjoy the benefits of a better, more rewarding life, growth is critical. If you don’t grow, your outlook, experiences, happiness, is truncated.
My life these past weeks have involved me truly beginning to identifying the things, habits, people (triggers) that keep me in stunted mode. Let me tell you, it’s been difficult, but what I’ve realized is that when you’re ready to make a stand for something, change your life, your perspective, for the better, the Universe rushes to your aid. Always! There is an old Buddhist saying that goes, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear”...that, ladies, is so true.
So, what’s the big deal about this growing anyway? Are there any real benefits to it or is it all an ‘airy fairy’, spiritual-labeled bandwagon that everyone’s jumping on these days to sound as though they’re hip and down with it? Well, I can only speak for myself.
Since I’ve been shedding my old ‘skin’ and allowing God to clothe me with His peace and calm, and divine love, a number of opportunities have opened up to me in the very ‘real’ areas of career and relationships. These are not things I set out to accomplish when I decided it was time to really grow – they are just a natural outcome of growth. I have a long way to go still, a whole lot of pain to encounter, and endure as I leave my old thinking and behaviour behind.
But, I continue to grow and expand and open up...like a flower. I’m intent on brightening up this world. I feel it is my purpose.
So, what have you been doing these past weeks? I’d love to hear from you.

Charms.
