TnT women who have personally inspired me

This week has been a splendid one for me. I got so much accomplished and was able to meet all my work and personal commitments. It’s not often that I can say that, with all the hiccups and hurdles life throws at me, it seems I’m always catching my breath after trying to catch up with all I have to do. This week was almost smooth sailing (almost) in getting my production engine going. For that I say “thank you God.”

In three days March will be gone from our lives forever. If you look back in an introspective sort of way, what can you say you accomplished for the first quarter of the year? Hope your retrospection brings a smile to your face. If not, then come on girl get moving on with the brand new opportunity called tomorrow!

This past week one of my friends commented on facebook that I was one of several people who were inspirational to her re-launching a project she had on the back burner for a loooooong time. Well, that’s a real compliment, because I know how many of my sweet TnT women friends and colleagues have been instrumental in inspiring me in the past when I needed a confidence booster, or felt I wasn’t able to go on.
So today, I honour them:
  • Georgiana Daisley, my mother and biggest fan (I is she WRITER daughter, yuh know!)
  • Astra Da Costa (may she rest in peace), my past boss at AMPLE Advertising, my mentor, and my friend. Love you ADC!
  • Gail Matthew, Operations Manager at AMPLE Advertising, my mentor, ‘mother’, sounding-board, and friend. Love you Gail!
  • Deborah Garraway, my sister-friend (girl you know I love you, right?)
  • Yolande Daisley-Sheppard, sister and friend
  • Valerie Murray, sister and friend
  • Glynus Villaroel, my niece and beautiful young woman
  • ‘Aunty Ruby’/Rubia Wright, childhood neighbour, friend, and listening ear
  • ‘Miss Jackie’, childhood neighbour, and listening ear
  • Christine Dalkan, my new-found young, critical-thinking friend and colleague. See her incisive blog at: http://ckatied.blogspot.com
  • All those random TnT women who said insightful or inspirational things to me in a taxi, on the bus, in a supermarket line, or someplace – things that at the moment, probably unknowing to them, inspired me to go on, not to give up just yet, take another step, hope.

Thank you all, beautiful TnT women.

So ladies, who are some of the great TnT women who have inspired you?
Charms.
